These three-quarters span and two-thirds span brick based Greenhouses are constructed of Western Red Cedar and are designed to take the place of a lean-to Greenhouse where an existing back wall does not provide enough height for a lean-to Greenhouse. They also have other advantages due to the short back roof, which gives better lighting and more even ventilation. The sills are 2" x 4" (50mm x 90mm): back wall plate 3" x 4" (70mm x 90mm); top plate at front 3" x 3" (70mm x 70mm), all bevelled to prevent water from lying: glazing bars 1.5" x 3" (35mm x 70mm), end rafters 2" x 3" (50mm x 70mm); purlin 2" x 3" (50mm x 70mm), with suitable supports. 3mm Horticultural glass cut to size and all necessary ironwork for erection. Slatted staging supplied to fit along the front. |
